About the Opportunity

\n

Alpha & Omega Staffing Services is seeking experienced Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) Managers to support major solar facility construction projects.

\n

We are looking for safety professionals who bring strong field leadership, hands-on civil construction knowledge, and the ability to work directly with project management, contractors, and field crews to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

\n

The ideal candidate understands the hazards associated with heavy civil construction, excavation, grading, earthmoving equipment, and stormwater management.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Implement and oversee site-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality programs.
\n
• Conduct daily safety tailgate meetings, jobsite inspections, and hazard assessments.
\n
• Monitor civil construction activities involving excavation, grading, earthmoving, and heavy equipment operations.
\n
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and site-specific safety policies.
\n
• Develop and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans, Emergency Action Plans, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
\n
• Support Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) implementation, inspections, and documentation.
\n
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses; conduct root cause analysis and communicate corrective actions.
\n
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives to address safety concerns.
\n
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
\n
• Promote a proactive safety culture through field engagement, communication, and accountability.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• OSHA 510 certification/training – Required
\n
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
\n
• Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
\n
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record, with no major moving violations within the past three years.
\n
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screening, including a drug screen.
\n

Highly Preferred Experience

\n

\n
• Civil construction safety, including excavation, grading, trenching, and heavy equipment operations.
\n
• SWPPP compliance , stormwater inspections, and erosion and sediment control.
\n
• Utility-scale solar or renewable energy construction.
\n
• Experience coordinating safety activities with multiple subcontractors.
\n
• Construction site audits, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
\n
