TalentOne Recruitment & Staffing is in search of a Junior Product Designer, to assist in the design and development of Home Decor products.

Job Type: Full Time Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $24-$28/HR DOE

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with Sales, Account Director & Senior Designers to determine product lines for each account
• Actively participate in the brainstorming processes, bringing customer appropriate new ideas to the development process.
• Communicate directly and in-house sample team to develop new product concepts and request samples
• Prepare Bills of Materials to communicate detailed product specifications and builds thoroughly and effectively
• Checking documentation for accuracy and completeness; and updating specifications and BOMs as designs evolve to support sampling, costing, and production.
• Work with Senior Designers and be responsible for specific product development tasks as assigned.
• Work closely with multiple departments in order to get design projects completed on time
• Manage and fill out customer product spec & set up sheets.
• Assist in showroom set up / sending out samples to customers.
• Aid in preparing product presentations & meeting recaps for Sales Team.
• Keep up to date on industry trends and market activity

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must be capable of managing multiple projects at once with tight deadlines in an extremely fast paced work environment.
• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to create accurate product specifications and bills of materials.
• Prior experience in picture framing, interior design, or home décor is a huge plus.
• Must be a motivated self-starter.
• Must be able to work both autonomously or in a team setting.
• Proficient in Office Programs (Word, Excel, MS Outlook and etc.)
• Must have Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
