Role SummaryAs a Product Designer, you will design clear, trustworthy experiences that help people protect their devices, identity and privacy. You will own design for significant product areas end to end, from problem framing through shipped experience, working alongside product management, engineering, research and content. You are a confident, independent contributor who raises the quality bar for the team and mentors designers earlier in their careers. Position DetailsAbout the role:Lead design for multi-release features and flows across web and mobile, taking work from ambiguous problem to polished, shipped solution.Translate customer needs, research insights and business goals into clear problem statements, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs.Partner with product and engineering to shape roadmaps, scope trade-offs and deliver with quality.Plan and run research with researchers, including usability testing, concept validation and analysis of behavioral data, and use what you learn to improve designs.Apply and contribute to the design system so experiences are consistent, accessible and scalable.Present design rationale clearly to cross-functional partners and leaders, and incorporate feedback.Champion accessibility, privacy and security-by-design in every experience.Mentor and give constructive critique to other designers, and help improve team practices.About you:Typically 5 or more years of product design experience shipping consumer or complex digital products, or equivalent experience.A portfolio showing strong interaction design, visual craft and a clear, user-centered process, with measurable outcomes.Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, and experience working within a design system.Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.Strong communication, storytelling and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence without authority.Comfort working in agile teams, managing multiple priorities and making decisions with incomplete information.Nice to have:Experience in cybersecurity, privacy, identity or subscription-based products.Experience designing AI-powered or data-driven experiences.Experience with experimentation and A/B testing.How success is measured:Designs ship on time and meet quality, usability and accessibility standards.Customer and business metrics improve in the areas you own.Partners trust your judgment and seek your input early.Other designers grow through your feedback and example.Company OverviewMcAfee is a leader in personal security for consumers.
